About Transmission and Distribution

Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview

The Transmission & Distribution Compliance Integration Senior Manager primary responsibilities will be to manage an organization within Compliance Integration to provide leadership of select compliance programs crossing T&D organizations and serve as a liaison between business lines to ensure compliance requirements are properly assigned, understood, and managed so compliance requirements and deadlines in T&D are met.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage the NERC compliance organization within T&D Compliance Integration that provides oversight, coordination, and project management of complex implementations to help T&D Program Owners achieve compliance obligations, and lead NERC Compliance activities for T&D Compliance Integration

  • Provide oversight and coordination in support of central Ethics & Compliance and T&D Program Owners for complex programs, as requested.

  • Lead development of select compliance procedures with responsibilities across T&D Business Lines and coordinate input from Business Lines for Ethics & Compliance procedures, BES definition filings, survey responses, compliance reports, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field.

  • Five years of experience managing and/or supervising an organization/unit.

  • Five years of experience analyzing and interpreting regulations, legislation or policies.

  • Project management skills and experience managing complex projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • Five years of combined experience managing/supervising/performing in a compliance function.

  • Seven years of experience analyzing and interpreting regulations, legislation or policies

  • Broad operational & organizational understanding of T&D

  • Broad knowledge of NERC, FERC, CPUC, CAISO requirements, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written Communication skills

  • Excellent Teamwork / collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work across functions
