Position Overview:

This position will be a part of the Payroll Operations/Expense Reimbursement Department in the Rosemead general office location.The role’s primary responsibility will be to support all activity related to the Company’s Travel & Expense Program, including auditing employee expense reports, processing credit cards, and preparing reports to management. On a daily basis the Project Analyst interacts directly with internal and external Stakeholders, and Service Providers to ensure compliance with SCE Travel & Expense policy and procedures.

Typical responsibilities:

  • Audit employee expense reports and prepare documentation in support of internal and external audit requests.

  • Generates reports using SAP cross referencing other databases to ensure expense reports are in compliance with the Travel and Expense Policy, are coded accurately and productivity metrics are met.

  • Prepare, Review, and execute reports to Chiefs and Employees on outstanding expense trips to meet month-end processes, including but not limited to journal entries, accruals and credit card reconciliations to ensure expenses are recorded in the same accounting period.

  • Communicates Travel & Expense status to all levels of employees regarding late submission, missing receipts and non-compliance with policy.

  • Provide user support and training (including maintenance of training materials and enrollment of employees in training courses).

  • Manage credit card applications and expense based roles for all employees.

  • Monitor Expense & Credit Card e-mail inbox and resolve inquiries timely and professionally.

  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.

  • Strong communication skills and customer service focus.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such asVLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.

  • Knowledge of SAP.

  • Customer focused with ability to understand and appropriately respond to employees’ business needs.

Desired Requirements and Experience:

  • Three years relevant experience with demonstrated proficiency with travel and expense processes.

  • Associate’s degree in Business or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Knowledge of Power BI Tool.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, and SAP.

  • Knowledgeable with Credit Card purchase, Travel and Employee Expense policies
