Position Overview :

The Project Analyst position will be in the Corporate Philanthropy department within Southern California Edison’s Corporate Communications organization and will support key initiatives, projects and processes. As a member of the Corporate Philanthropy team, the Project Analyst will be responsible for gathering documentation and researching data on assigned corporate citizen and brand reputation topics to support the recommendations for consideration. He/she will be assigned tasks on specific charitable and branding projects, programs, and functional issues in which he/she will need to draw on past analytical experience to meet objectives. Other responsibilities include designing and developing new reports, reporting tools, solutions, and processes for the Corporate Philanthropy and Branding teams. The Project Analyst will need to network or request subject matter expertise, align with organization goals across departments, support data governance, and cross-organizational teams and meetings. The position will also provide administrative support to Corporate Philanthropy and Brand and Creative Principal Managers and teams.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple complex and constantly changing calendars, prioritizing meetings based on importance/urgency and taking into consideration executive needs for preparation and travel time.

  • Prepares, maintains and organizes files and supplies, including presentations, correspondence, documents and other materials, to ensure the managers and staff are able to retrieve and gain access to necessary materials in an organized manner.

  • Processes expense reports, purchase orders, procurement and requisitions, timekeeping, and invoices utilizing SAP. Reconciles data (e.g., invoices, credit card statements, spreadsheet data, etc.), identifies inconsistencies and inaccuracies, and takes needed corrective action.

  • Receives, creates and maintains records, logs, documents, files, or databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, resources, schedules, and status for department and program management. Reviews files for completeness or accuracy; reports to program management on discrepancies. Reviews and updates reports, documents or correspondence.

  • Recommend procedures to manage data - identify, develop, and operationalize process improvements as well as quality assurance standards for existing systems and platforms

  • Help implement project plans to coordinate with team members, vendors, volunteers and other personnel associated with the events.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in an analytical position in a high-volume fast-paced work environment.

  • Experience using PowerPoint to create and edit presentations.

  • Two years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing the following functions: sorting data, filtering data, data validation, creating charts, graphs, and pivot tables.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SCE specific applications, such as SAP, MDG, BMG and Concur

  • Experience planning, organizing and coordinating tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines

  • Customer focused with ability to understand and appropriately respond to project managers and business needs

  • One or more years of experience working across disciplines and effectively engaging various levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written

  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills

  • Must demonstrate effective decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation

  • Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.


  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • Writing sample and writing assessment may be required.
