Position Overview

The Proprietary Telecom System Advisor is responsible for internal and OU telecommunications capital projects , including the in-take, tracking, reporting, close-out, performance monitoring and trending over $20M annually in large OU (T&D, CR, CS, PPD) and internal network projects. Responsible for managing the development and implementation of projects in the Telecom Infrastructure portfolio by directing the design, evaluation, analysis, demonstration, construction, and satisfaction of regulatory requirements of projects in assigned portfolio. Provides management and strategic direction to a project leads/engineers and is responsible for the project development, budget, and schedule. Establishes goals, negotiates, and develops project plans for capital projects in assigned portfolio.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manages intake, development, and tracking of implementation and budget for over $20M annually in internal and OU telecommunications capital projects.

  • Develops medium- to long-term resource, schedule and integrated budget plans and objectives for telecommunications engineering support for telecommunications capital projects.

  • Provides integrated cost/schedule engineering for telecommunications projects.

  • Manages multiple capital budgets totaling about $20M.

  • Contributes to the development of overall engineering business plans in support of corporate objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience managing or supporting technical or telecom engineering project.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Certification.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Technical discipline or related field.

  • Experience with contract management or invoicing.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.
