This position will be the Telecom Project Analytics and Process Business Analyst for Project Oversight and Support in the Grid Services Network & Telecom System Integration Services department within Southern California Edison (SCE)’s Information Technology organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Assists in the implementation of process improvements to continuously refine and improve upon project and operational processes across Grid Services.
Develops, analyzes and monitors telecom engineering project team and project data to quantify and improve the performance of the organization and process.
Recommends and implements solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, and quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations.
Collects, analyzes and reports data to support project delivery.
Engages internal and external teams to discuss, address, evaluate, support, or advance operational improvement processes.
Assesses and develops strategies to eliminate gaps in service while improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Provides analytical support to various departments within the organization including formulating metrics and Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
Acts as primary point of contact working with stakeholders to understand systems, processes and business needs.
Supports Grid Services by ensuring data meets the client needs and analyzing requirements from potential new data sources.
Defines and develops dashboards/reports and ad hoc queries as requested in a simple and understandable format.
5 years’ experience in analytics, reporting, and process improvement.
Experience handling complex and large amounts of data.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or relevant technical discipline.
Experience providing analytics and process support for material and logistics organizations/departments.
Six Sigma Certification.
Project management certification, CAPM, PMP.
Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Zoho, or other similar tools.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
